 Downtown Providence Rhode Island During a Professional Development Trip, I had the opportunity to check out downtown Providence.  Downtown Providence First Baptist Church in America - 1638 Stephen Hopkins house - George Washington stayed here as a guest in 1776! Rhode Island State House City Hall
